Same as above, plus therapeutic crafting and connecting with like minded people . Humanitarian crafting is making hats, scarves, and similar items at our own pace, and giving them away to poor people in need of them. There are lots of people in our area who need warm hats, scarves, and other items. Please join me in this endeavor in OUR local area in the COLD Winter months. I love experimenting with new web technologies and have really taken to Drupal (especially since the Drupalcon I attended in D.C. in March '09) but I'm also interested in getting familiar with other CMS's including WordPress and Joomla. When I'm not hacking on code I like to read or walk around the banks of the Mississippi to find good fishing spots. I also enjoy camping with the family and making Smores with Reese's peanut butter cups. Yummy! I'm also interested in politics and served as chairman of the La Crosse County Republican Party from 2003-2007.
My name is Amanda but I prefer Mandy. I'm happily married to my high school sweetheart David. With him we have a son named Jason who is 7 years old. We have a daughter named Heather who is 4 and another son named Joshua who is 2. I am a stay at home mom at the momment since i was laid off. When I'm not working I'm cleaning house, cooking and spending time with friends and family. I like photography, scrapbooking, and playing on the computer. I hope to spend more time outdoors or travel when my kids are older. Monika (Roadangel, another member here) is my Mother-in-Law. Just trying to clear any confusion.
I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood plus I have 3 kids so I'm interested in childrens books and good teaching materials when i see them.
