I ran into a blog post with a postcard of an old Holmen mill. The author is wondering if the mill still stands. It doesn't look familiar to me. Anyone know?

I have a Google alert set up to show me things with the keyword "Holmen" in them. It's pretty good about getting stuff about my village but sometimes people named Holmen show up. There's also a town in Norway, which I'm assuming is the source of the name of our village. Read more »

Holmen was incorporated on May 7, 1946.[4] Holmen grew at a steady pace until the 1980s, when it began to grow rapidly. As of 2007, Holmen is among the fastest-growing (by percentage) municipalities in the state of Wisconsin, and the Holmen School District has grown to become second in attendance only to La Crosse in all of southwestern Wisconsin.
