I hope that this group will develop a place for inspiration and chat about scrapbooking - projects, techniques, help for each other. I am not very active in the Summer - too busy but would love to get back into my projects now school is starting.

So come on in friends and have a chat!

I do scrapbook, but not at all with magazines or anything like that.. I just do what tickles my fancy... I have some of my scrapbook online. (scanned and spliced together) if you're interested.
My Scrapbook
some links are dead, cause I haven't finished the books yet, but you'll see.

Isn't that what scrapbooking should be about - whatever tickles your fancy?! I must say you are a very prolific scrapper - I don't have much online, what I do is posted at UKScrappers - I have belonged to that for about 3 1/2 years and have not been real good at keeping my gallery updated (at the moment I think there is one actual layout!)

I started scrapbooking with a heritage album I did for my Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary in 2005. I have made quite a few albums that I have given away - which I do enjoy, but have lots of different one's floating around that I am working on. I have three children, husband and a grandbaby on the way so plenty of scrapping to be done (have about 20 year backlog). I find it easier for the most part to work on current stuff - ONE DAY I will get to the other!! Daughter just got married 8/08/08 - so I am hoping that will kick start my scrapping again. Once fall comes around, I get together with a group of scrappers at Trempealeau Village Community Center once a month - they have the room for the whole weekend and come back each day and night to scrap - it's nice to come and go as you please and leave your stuff set up.

I will have to get some pictures taken of some of my albums - I love to see other's work!

I'm going to be there in another 17 years. LOL! I'm not into scrapbooking, yet, but I know I will be. I keep taking pictures and videoing with the plans of doing something with all of this some day. Computer geek that I am, I'll do digital scrapbooking and video, I'm sure, but even that I don't have time for, yet. I've resigned myself to the fact that it's just not going to get done while the kids are little. But I figure you only get one chance to capture the footage and then the rest of your life to do something with it. So I keep snapping away and piling it up for that magical "someday". Smile

I've always put my pics in albums right away... hated that my Mom just had everything in a drawer and nobody knew when what was taking or even where at times. However, actual scrapbooking I didn't start until a few years ago, so i'm also back-logged...am doing the new stuff (which is hard now with a little guy to keep up.. just soooo many photos), but one day I will do the old stuff as well. I hate being more than a few months behind, cause the details start getting blurry. I now read something in my Scientific Mind that makes Scrapping even more fun... it says it has depression lifting capabilities, due to the activity with your hands... nice to know I'm doing something to keep depression at bay!!!

I have soooo many photos from the first two children growing up (now 21 and 19) but doesn't compare to the number of pictures our 6 year old has already gathered! Sometimes I feel a little guilty about the things I missed from the other two - so I think I take pictures of EVERYTHING now! LOL! Poor grandbaby won't know what her grandma looks like coz' I'll always be behind the camera!!!

So here's to "Someday" to catching up! Watch out Michelle, once you start it can be addicting!

I don't have photos in albums because I'm totally digital and hardly ever print anything out. That's on my "someday" list, too. LOL

Digital has really changed the way we do photography. There's very few pictures of me as kid because taking pictures was for special occasions back then. My sisters are almost a generation younger and have more pictures and even some video but still not excessive amounts. Fast forward to my first born 3.5 years ago and he has tons. I was a SAHM, in January, with a newborn, and bored out of my mind. So I took picture after picture. Ah, the joy of digital. But, then, comes the pain of digital. What do I do with all these pictures?! Surprise

I know what you mean. I have so many more pics of my little guy now than i did with my older two. Not only that I had to buy the film, but also it's so much easier to just shoot and shoot and then look at them and just print the really good ones (which never works for me cause I like them all...lol).

Heh, I'm the opposite. I'm so horribly picky I rarely like one well enough to want to print it out. I love the subject, of course, but I always find something wrong with the pose or th lighting or the focus. Drives my husband batty.

I'm like that when it comes to scenery shots, but not when it comes to live objects.

I think I'm worse with live ones... Scenery is fairly static and I always figure I'll take better ones next time. With my kids, I look at the photos and they aren't "just right" and I think they'll never look exactly the same again so I can't retake them. So I take tons and tons when I do a photo shoot to try and get one that's "perfect". Crazy. LOL

I take tons of photos, love tons of photos and can never decide which ones to print so usually end up printing tons too! LOL!
