Should we rename Stuff and Nonsense?

I tried to get more creative than the usual "General chatter" for our misc forum. But I worry that the name is just too silly. This came up when I posted the fish rescue thread. I started thinking that "Stuff and Nonsense" wasn't serious enough for a post like that, even though I never meant the forum to be only silly stuff.

What do you think? Does the forum name put you off? Would you know that it's a general topic forum without reading the description? Do you think I should change it? If so, to what?

Michelle

I think Stuff and Nonsense is just fine how it is, but maybe serious posts like the fish one would be better in another category like the Debates and Hot Topics one...

My thinking behind the forums are:

Stuff and Nonsense - Serious or fun posts about anything at all. Just general conversations about whatever.

Debates and Hot Topics - Anything that's likely to get people riled up and arguing. I wanted a separate forum for that because some people don't like reading heated posts and they could just avoid that forum, then.

So I would rather not move a post into debates just because it's serious. In the case of the fish post, it wasn't really controversial (unless you count the jerk that was following her around the net. Sad ) but it was a serious post. So it fits in the "general chatter" forum.

Hmm... I wonder if we should have a General Chatter for just normal discussion and a Stuff and Nonsense for the really off the wall silly stuff? Though I hate to add more forums when we don't have that much activity to sustain them. Angry

Ok, I'm waffling too much. I think I'll just leave it be for now. Once we get more users, let's see how people feel.

Thanks,

Michelle

Ahhh-ha. I see.... but yeah, I think that's a god idea, making a new forum... *nods* but that could wait. Smile Keep up the fantastic work, Michelle!

All right, I'll just wait a while and see, then. Thanks for the feedback. Smile
