Ah, did they finally pick? I haven't watched the news in a while. Took on some freelance work that's sucking up my time. I'll have to do some research and come back to this post.

Yup, it was in the paper this morning. I was at the Democratic office yesterday and was told he was making a decision that evening, so I was looking for it. I was so hoping for Hillary, but knew he wasn't going to do it.

I don't think Hillary would be a good choice. Sad as it is, he's already going to have people who dislike him because of his race. Add in a female running mate and he'd knock out a good chunk more. I haven't had a chance to look into this any more, yet. Probably won't for a while. I've got some paid work I need to be doing. Just popped in and saw there was new posts so I had to respond. We've had such lovely conversations going and I don't want them to die. But, I'd better get to work before it gets too late.

Ok, so I have at least a little bit of a clue, now. Granted I just read the local paper which isn't necessarily the best source for unbiased info but that's all I had time for. So, what do I think? Hrm... I like the fact that he's not rich. (Well, by political standards, anyway; he's got a lot more than me. ) I'm hoping that will help him connect more with the average person and make decisions that help us and not just the big companies. (Yeah, ok, I'm probably naieve, but a girl can hope... ) I think, as much as I hate to even say it, that his being a white male will help. I'd vote for a purple president if I thought he could get the job done but you know there's plenty of folks out there that aren't ready for so much as a tan one. The paper did point out that he may be too safe. If he's really all about change, a more daring VP would have gone with that. But, we'll see. November is coming fast... The elections stretch on for so long it's hard to keep caring about them but it's getting to be time to buckle down and really look and figure out who I'm voting for. Hmm... Maybe I'll vote for whoever promises me a "more time in the day" machine.

I see there's a bunch of other new posts (Yay!) but they'll have to wait until morning for an answer from me. Sick baby and sick mommy are going to bed.

Hope you feel better in the morning. Yeah, I keep saying.. Obama is just as much white as he's black. Nobody mentions that though.

True. But to people who care about his color I suspect the percentage doesn't matter. I've been around bigots. They don't say "Oh that one is only part black so he's ok."

I had a really good phrase a while back, but I can't remember it now. It had something to do with uniting black and white... him being both... wish I could rememeber now.
