Popping on for a few minutes from the hosptital. He's doing ok. Looks like they'll do the surgery either tomorrow or the day after. can only use the computer for a bit while the baby is sleeping so still won't be around much. When he's awake it's constant move move move. I'm sure getting my exercise chasing after him!

He's having the surgery first thing in the morning. But then he'll be in the hosptial for a few days and then is going to need help after he gets home. He's 76 and bypass surgery is a major thing. So I'm going to be somewhat scarce around here for about a week, I think. I'll pop on whenever I get a bit of computer time.

Ok, change in plans again. We're back home for a while. He did well with the surgery and will be in the hospital for a few days so nothing more we can do right now.

Don't feel bad about not being on here as much.. we all will survive a few days without you. You have important stuff to take care of.. don't feel pressured!!!Take care!!!

Sending prayers and well wishes your way for your father-in-law. I have to share my dad had a heart attack while we were visiting this Spring (honestly thought it was it) - his fifth. Now has a defibrillator/pacemaker and is back in fighting form - just spent six weeks in Ireland - he will be 78 this October. So hope your FIL has just as good an outcome.

@Britkatscrap - Ah, nice to hear happy endings. He's 76 and not in the best of health. He's out of ICU, though, and slowly mending. They expect he'll be home by this weekend and then we'll be over there helping out a lot. If we can get ourselves healthy... Got some sort of bug here. We're all sick. So I'm not feeling terribly talkative.

I expect to be a lot more active again next week and will see if I can get in a bit of time to work on the infrastructure a bit. There's still tons to do around here to get everything working.

Well, we never did go back. Turns out they don't want kids around him for two weeks. That makes sense, but means we can't go help out. My brother in law is there helping, though. FIL is still hanging in there but not doing very well. I hope he gets on the mend soon.
