Anyone watching Dr Who?

Yesterday's ep was awesome! Only one more ep until Christmas, though. Sad UK schedules kill me. 13 eps plus a Christmas special each year just isn't enough Who.

Curious if anyone else out there is watching? Most people I know look at me like I'm nuts if I talk about Dr Who. LOL!

Michelle

I dont know what Dr. Who is...........but I'm a huge Big Brother, Survivor, Amazing Race, Hells Kitchen Junkie!!
Carol

LOL! About the only connection Dr Who has with those is that I believe at least two of them are British in origin as is Dr Who. Smile

I guess we don't have TV in common. I don't get into reality shows. Dr Who is science fiction, which is my favorite.

AAAHHH I saw the premire for Dr. Who.....it comes on after Ghost Hunters on Scifi channel.
Last night TAPS was at the Stanely Hotel. It was a great visit!!

I didn't watch Dr. Who though cuz at that time my other addiction is GH & Y&R and those come on starting at 9 pm.............it was time to switch to the soap channel.

glad to know I am not the only Who watcher... atleast last year... anyone remember in the early 70's when the original Doctors were on ch 31 PBS?

way better than star trek sometimes.... all versions... darleks rule.. will davros return?

Yep. The very first episode of the Doctor I ever watched was on Ch 31 and it was 'An Unearthly Child.' That was the very first ever episode of the Doctor. I've been hooked ever since. I've got all episodes of the current series, plus some episodes of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th Doctor, and the 8th Doctors one and only made for TV movie.

I'm also a watcher of stuff like Farscape, Sliders, and any iteration of Trek. I recently laid my hands on some episodes of the Logan's Run tv series.

Well, I don't remember the early '70s very well and didn't get introduced to Doctor Who until the mid-'80s. But I watched every episode I could get my hands on then and was very disappointed when it ended in 1989. I was so excited to find out it got picked up again in 2005. Being on the internet, I knew it was coming back loooong before it actually did so it was quite a wait! Worth it, though, I love the new series.

@kc9eci: How ironic that the first ep you saw was the first one! I can't remember which I saw first but I know it was a Tom Baker one. His eps were all I saw for the longest time because that was what my friend had on tape. I think I've watched all of the 3rd thru 7th Doctor eps as well as the 8th Doctor movie. I haven't watched very many of the first two Doctors, yet, even of the ones that still exist. I did meet the second Doctor, once, though, in the '80s. Smile

I've never seen Farscape but I loved Sliders until they ruined it. Star Trek I like all but the original series. I love the OS movies but the TV eps themselves I find hard to watch. Logan's Run I think I've only seen the movie.

Last March before I left the UK to come home I picked up a copy of Dr Who Magazine and got the Big Finish audio drama Cuddlefish. I haven't had time to listen to it yet though. I'm kind of saving it for a rainy day. Have you seen the British sci-fi series Primeval yet? Well worth watching. While not SF, the new Robin Hood series is quite excellent too.

I have loads of the Doctor's shows. I have the Tom Baker years, a large set. The last Doctor before they went off, before that kinda lame movie that came out. Anyone recall the original movie that started it all? Wasn't called Doctor Who but was black and white movie in early 60's and was
his first time travel, wasn't even a time lord in the movie, but he went to a wiped out planet with only a single dome left... intact... the remaining creatures were blobs... as we now know were Daleks. I have a 3 episode tape with Colin Baker as Doctor fleshing the story out.. can't recall the name of that movie... anyone?

.
Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965)

I have the Peter Cushing movies because I asked for Doctor Who for Christmas and my mom bought me the boxed set of his movies. Uneasy She doesn't watch the show, so she had no idea. I've only watched part of one of them. They're hard to watch.

I haven't seen Primeval. I don't watch much TV. Between my kids and my webwork, I'm pretty swamped and don't have time to devote to watching TV. Mostly what I see is bits and pieces when hubby or the kids have it on. Doctor Who is the only show I'll actually focus on watching start to finish without multi tasking. Smile-Big

You really need to download Primeval. 6 eps the first season, 7 the 2nd. Time portals......

Dr. Who and the Daleks ,,, neat. I could have bet it wasn't called Who,, good thing no bets.
How about the orginal Matrix on Galifrey, episodes I believe were called the Key to Time or such? I can;t recall.. would be good to try and find.

I have it. Pirate Bay and Google are your friends. FYI, I'm monitoring 144.200 and looking south at the moment.

PIrate Bay... have to check that.. missed out on the message and wasn't in shack for 144.200....
