Front page broken

Argh, how long has the front page been broken? Sad I don't go to the front much since I have a shortcut that takes me straight to the "what's new" page. Looks like something's really messed up. Half the stuff is missing. And smilies aren't working right, either. Gah. Ok, let's see if I can figure out what's wrong.

Oh, good, it turned out to be an easy fix. Smileys still seem to be broken, though. (They work if you type them in manually but you can't click on them). Javascript can be a real PITA sometimes. Sigh.
