This site needs content and lots of it. Trouble is, I only have so much time and can either work on the infrastructure or add content. I don't have enough time to do both right now. I used to have all the entry forms open to the public but they're kind of messy and people weren't using them anyway so I restricted access until I get them fixed up. In the mean time, I'm looking for volunteers. If you have a bit of free time and want to help out by adding stuff to the site, I can give you access to the entry forms.
It's not hard, just time consuming. The main thing I'm looking for right now is getting events added to the calendar and businesses added to the directory. If you think you'd like to take on one or both of those, let me know.

Ok, back. The day got away from me trying to get the house ready for company tomorrow and I went to a talk on Parenting With Love and Logic this evening. Busy busy.
Anyway, what I would like is, eventually, to have every business and organization in the Coulee Region listed in the directory. Since that's several thousand, this is a long term plan.
I've only entered a few in so far so you can pick pretty much any one out there and add it. If you have some restaurants you like going to or a favorite store or just pick something at random.
The other thing I want is to have tons of events in the calendar. That's something that I think would attract a lot of people because they could come here and see at a glance what's happening in the Coulee Region. Right now the calendar is completely empty so any events you could add would help. You can pick as few or as many as you like. Every bit of content we can add to the site is more food for the search engines and more to interest people who stumble onto the site. The more people we get, the more likely some will stick around and chat.
I'll upped your access level and I'll email you the links to add stuff. It's not super secret but I don't want the SE spiders hitting the links and trying to follow them.

Ooooh, lookie there. Two new restaurants! Awesome! Wonder why they're claiming 5 stars, though... Hrm... I think something is goofy in the rating code. Will add that to my "to fix" list.
