This tiny park is on a small lot between houses at the end of a street. The only thing in the park is a small wooden climbing structure with two metal slides.
This is an older park in the Apple Valley neighborhood off Sand Lake Road. It two wooden climbing structures, a tall metal slide, a merry go round, a large sandbox, a teeter-totter-like rocking toy, and a swingset with two regular and three baby swings. Two of the baby swings are the old fashioned kind with the bar. There's also a baseball field, a basketball court, and a tennis court. The bathroom is a porta potty. There isn't much for little kids as the climbing structures aren't meant for little ones.
Family owned and operated since 1970, Ardie's Restaurant & Lounge has been satisfying the appetites of La Crosse residents for over 37 years. Conveniently located 2 miles south of Interstate I/90 on Hwy. 35 Lang Dr. S., Ardie's serves delicious Breakfasts, Lunches and Dinners seven days a week!
This information has been provided by La Crosse's park and rec department. I am only making personal visits to take photos of parks with playgrounds at this time. If you have more information about this park that you would like to share, please contact me.
This beautiful park sits at the foot of a rocky bluff. Parking near the playground is on a quiet side street overlooking the whole park. There is a modern climbing structure with two slides (one of them double) and steps for the little ones. Near that is a large tire swing. Behind the climbing structure is another made of wood with a metal slide. Back farther from those is a swingset with three baby swings. One is the modern bucket kind while the other two are the older chair kind. There are no regular swings.
In addition to the playground, the park has a large tennis court, large ballfield, and a full basketball court with two hoops. There is a huge open area. There is an open shelter with picnic tables as well as several benches. No bathroom, though there is a bubbler at the far end away from the playground. There are some shade trees near the playground.
