It all began on May 27, 1921 when Cecil Allen purchased a building at 1113 Caledonia Street. After eighty five years the Sweet Shop is still going strong.
The Sweet Shop makes a fine assortment of homemade candies and ice cream. All our chocolates are top quality and each piece is hand dipped using only the finest milk and dark chocolate.
We also make a good selection of hard candy, chocolate covered love food, sugar free chocolates, fresh roasted jumbo cashews and deluxe mixed nuts.
Tradition runs deep here at the Sweet Shop. Our candy and ice cream is made the same old fashioned way it was years ago. Making quality candy takes time, patience and skill and only the finest ingredients. Our staff has over one hundred years of experience. Quality has been our goal for eighty five years and will continue to be. And it is our aim to not make the most but only the best.
