Weehew - interjection - meaning: Wisconsin redneck's battle cry.

IDK

Just figured I'd write a blog entry since the option is there! Hmmm... almost no improvement on the employment scene, save for this one site I found, Jamsbio.com which has entered me into their writers program. 50 dollars to start, then a meager 3 dollars for each entry I do from now on. But hey, it's pretty cool since I'd probably be doing it even if I wouldn't get paid for it *knock on wood*. Basically what it is is a site that's still in beta testing, so you can join pretty much by invite-only, but it's about music and how we remember life through it. You pick a song and write about a memory associated with it. I've got eleven articles completed in the last three days and I'm working on my twelfth one, which I should probably get back to and stop wasting time roaming the internet looking at random sites! Smile

Wow! 11 articles in 3 days is impressive! You're quite prolific. Smile What do they do with all those articles?

So far all they are is for sharing with other users. I'm sure they're doing some kind of research on the subject. In an email from them I saw that they said (and this is not an exact quote) "for sharing with members and for various other purposes." Personally, I'm not attached to any of my entries, so I don't really care what they do with them, lol...

Heh, as long as you get paid for them, that's the important thing, right? Smile

Does that $50 to start include any articles? Or they give you $50 and then pay you $3 an article in addition to that? I've been thinking of paying someone to write content for this site. I can't afford very much, though. So far I've made a whopping $8.21 in ads off this site. That's for nearly 6 months. And I don't even get the money until I make $100. So it's not exactly pulling in the dough. But I really need steady content to bring people in and get this place going so maybe I can offer a bit. We'll have to talk more on that if you're interested.

Riiiight. I'm all about the cash-moneys lol. Not really, of course. But it's 50 after you write ten, to make sure you submit SOMETHING to the site before they pay you. But then it's 3 each after that. Smile

Hi again

Forgot to ask if there is a set number of words per article that you submit?

Also forgot to note in the above comment the time difference between our countries = at time of writing this its 11.42pm Saturday 16/02/08

Visitors might scratch their heads in confusion hence this note

lol... well, the twelfth went great and now I've just completed number 20! Seems like more work than it actually was now that I think about it. But as for the length of the articles, they say they'd like and average of 250 words per piece, a little less won't hurt, but mine typically run over by a mile, hehe... And of course, they don't mind that. Smile

Hmmm... well, you can't read them on the site unless you're a member, but if you like, I could post one or two in this blog... lol

PS: I really hate the green I'm using to show your own comments... I think that's going to be one of the first things to go when I rebuild this site. LOL! I don't know what made me pick that color....
